We would like to express our deep and sincere regret for the difficulties caused to a number of our customers as a result of a data loss incident that occurred between January 19 and January 21, 2018. The incident was a result of an unforeseen sequence of events that caused data to be deleted from multiple storage facilities. Importantly, no user or personal data was exposed. However, we did unfortunately experience the loss of full and partial activities for some of our customers.
Since then, we have been working vigorously to restore the lost activities for our customers. To date, approximately 98% of the data in our system has been restored, and we continue to investigate if we can recover more. While the restoration of older data has been successful, the recovery of more recent data has unfortunately not been as complete. As a result, customers with a greater proportion of recently created or updated activities may experience a higher percentage of data loss. We fully understand our customers’ frustration and concern and know that a great deal of time was spent creating these activities.
We are committed to doing the best we can to support our affected customers and we are providing a number of programs and services that are described above in the Resource Center tab. We also have taken immediate steps to enhance the protection of the website data and ensure that a problem like this won’t happen again.
We greatly value our relationship with our customers and, again, we regret the frustration and disruption this incident may have caused.
